well As a rookie I guess I'll have a "learning curve" in this game.
I assume (like me) many of us will be in line for the "mercy rule" this weekend

Hey M5 Stud, it's Talladega, hit and miss, rookie or vet it's darn hard to pick a team. I lucked out this time with a 1 thru 4 but I've also crashed and burned here......Race 1 of 8, lots of good players here know they are in hunt as there is a bunch of racing to go after a good or bad score today...........hang in there and Good Luck !!! I am just wondering if you can only lose 40 points in a week,.. you can only GAIN 40 points in a week... so those of us that stunk up the show will have to be on our toes the rest of the segment

Long night for Woody, didn't get home from work till about midnight and then, of course, I had to watch the recorded race.

We had three teams who hit the Perfect 10 yesterday in our opening wreckfest at Talladega. Two of them were our friend from up north, GO HARD. And GT CHARLIE backed up his impressive finish in Session I by nailing down a 10 with his 'back-up' team, CHAOS. GT CHAS also finished 4th and MADDOG and LEFTY tied for 5th just 9 points off the lead.

Nice going Steve and Chuck! Now we'll see how good you are defending your lucky start.

4 teams will be benefiting from our Mercy Rule. Our newest player M5 STUDEBAKER got off to a sorry-assed start. Thanks for the $10, Chris! LOL. Just kidding of course. Your picks were as solid as any. We saw a similar situation in Session I starting off with the Wrecks-of-Daytona and several of the 'fallen' were able to pull themselves up to competitive by the close of the session, so hang in there.

Those taking Mercy will have their scores reduced to the max 50 points BEFORE going into next weekend. The score chart below shows those full scores (unreduced) so that you can verify your results.

Please check your scores. I can and will make mistakes. I enter it all by hand so I really do expect you guys to help by checking. I went with the most current scoring as shown on Jayski and with the finish as it was - if nascar changes the scoring I will change to follow.

For the benefit of the newbee; the scoring is read as follows:

GO HARD 1's drivers finished 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, and 'X'(drop).
His total score is 10.
He is 0 points behind the leader, because he is (one of) the leader.

Regarding the Super Speedway races, you know yourself that a plate race is all luck. So 3 got lucky! It was extremely lucky for either Talladega or Daytona. Of course you were not one of them. HA-HA-HA!
