Are 88 and 22 out?

Many think one good driver will not have a disaster during the chase. If this happens, 88 and 22 are out of contention after race #1.

This alone would give merit to the idea of dropping worst score. Never will happen likely, but It would add a twist and boost interest for many longer.

Tis my nature that better is better if more people have fun longer doing whatever. Jr. fans arise!  lol

I don't think they're out because there's still Talladega.

And tracks like Martinsville where Hendrick is king and Roush is kinda meh.

I can't see dropping one race.. problem with that is... if you drop one,.. then why not, or three... You get the idea.
In the purest form it should be most points all season, and not even have the Chase (It's all a "made for tv" thing)

After watching the Chase play out over the last couple year,.. yeah I tend to believe one race and you are pretty much out.
I'd say with it being Logano, an Jr being the ones who had issues.  They are DEFINITELY out, - they just barely made it in the chase in the first place
