We all browse. When we find something worth sharing, It would not take long to note it here.

NASCAR sets terms for series: NASCAR is asking $12 million to $15 million a year for title sponsorship of its secondary series, which has been held by Nationwide Insurance since 2008. NASCARs asking price is a minimum 20 percent increase above the $10 million in rights fees that Nationwide now pays. The insurer is dropping the title sponsorship after the 2014 season. In addition to the rights fee, NASCAR executives are telling potential buyers they want a 10-year deal that includes a media commitment of more than $10 million and an activation commitment of more than $10 million, putting the overall annual spend at more than $30 million a year. NASCAR officials declined to comment on pricing.(Sports Business Journal)(11-21-2013)

I'm guessing the Verizon Series is off the table...lol

Would it make too much sense for a company like Goodyear or Sunoco to sponsor it? But they have a ton into NASCAR as it is.

You have to remember THIS works both ways... Buy being the "exclusive supplier of" tires (GoodYear) or gas (Sunoco) the are guaranteed they have NO competition, and have SOLO control of tire supply.  Tires cost teams THOUSANDS of dollars so GoodYear is guaranteed to make MILLIONS from the three NASCAR series each year.
Yeah, they have a ton into NASCAR a ton of 'pull' and guaranteed income.

Goona be interesting will all the "maybe" changes, adjustability after inspection and trying to rerduce horse power....hell, make em run stock engines. That ought to be a blast.

bring him back to run the jet dryer he's so fond of.

Montoya could still run some NASCAR races: Juan Pablo Montoya might not be finished in NASCAR just yet. On Monday, during a break in IndyCar testing at Sebring, Team Penske president Tim Cindric said that it's possible that the team would be receptive to putting it's newest IndyCar driver back in a stock car if the conditions were just right. "How many guys out there could bounce from series to series like he has?," Cindric said. "I think he has some unfinished business in the stock car. At the right time, we may put him in one of our cars that we feel is competitive. I think it's an interesting thing to do. We have to mutually commit to this. This needs to be where the success needs to be to start with." Montoya is returning to American open-wheel racing for the first time since 2001.(Autoweek)(11-26-2013)

Whew. Nice to see everyone was okay:

  • Harvick's home suffers damage from fire: Kevin Harvick and his family escaped injury when a fire broke out in their Oak Ridge, N.C., home Wednesday morning. Both Kevin and his wife, DeLana, tweeted photos of the fire department at their house saying they were thankful for the response and that they were OK. The fire and fire alarm that went off woke up the Harvicks, his wife tweeted. Kevin Harvick Inc. later tweeted that the Harvicks were fine and suffered no major damage to their home.(Sporting News)(11-27-2013)
