I have updated the prize schedule for "The Showcase". I try to pay out as much as possible, and I like to pay the top 5% of finishers overall. Site costs this year are about 4x as much as last season.
Overall Prizes
1st place – $1,000.00 + trophy + 2 free entries in 2014 game
2nd place – $600.00 + free entry in 2014 game
3rd place – $400.00
4th place – $250.00
5th place – $175.00
6th place - $100.00
7th place – $60.00
8th place - $30.00
Charity – $50.00 (the NASCAR Foundation)
Charity - $50.00 (Victory Junction Gang Camp)
Segment Prizes
Also, the team with the highest points at the end of each segment (for that particular segment, not cumulatively) will win $100.00.
Note: Drops will not take effect for segment standings, just overall standings.
With six segments, that means the total paid out for the “Segment Prizes” is $600.00
Weekly Prizes
The team with the highest score each week will win $10.
If there is a tie, the prize will be split evenly among the tied teams.
With 36 total races, that means the total paid out for the “Weekly Prizes” is $360.00
Obviously you're not going to get rich from the Weekly Prize, but it does give you something to try for when the season is winding down if your team is out of the running for the big prizes. The team with the most wins last year had 4 and finished 129th.
