Pastrana vs Patrick - side note Bayne has MS

I'm sure ya'll heard by now that Travis Pastrana has called it quits.
I like the guy and am sad to see he didn't make it.
One things is FOR SURE. 
He is a talented guy. 
His reasons for walking away are the most sensible I've heard in a long time.
Rarely do you hear a high profile competitor say they just couldn't get it.
That's amazing.

If he had had the same level of equipment Danica had for her NASCAR "career", it is my opinion that Travis would have had a much better chance of making it.

That's the racing game these days.  I wish him well

Real sorry for Trevor - heck of a nice guy - and I was looking forward to following his progress.

Agree with you Tom about Pastrana, and yes, he manned up and said it the way it is - but I'd liked to have seen him give it another year.  Takes time to get the handle on these heavy cars.  You don't 'throw them around' like some lighter machines or motorcycles.  Think he bailed out a bit too early, imo.  But surely he knows better than me.
