NW - BEAT THE POLE - Mid Ohio - RESULTS

4tars is crying to his Mommy and won't be playing. TOP8LEGEND was the first to volunteer so he is the team to beat in Race 1 of this 5-Race Session. I have asked Mike to post his picks as soon as possible after qualifying (or sooner if he wishes).

The player finishing with the highest score in Race 1 will have The Pole in Race 2 - and so on throughout the session.

MID OHIO IS A STAND-ALONE RACE. STAND-ALONE RULES APPLY. NO (ZERO) RESTRICTED DRIVERS MAY BE PICKED.

MID-OHIO is Race 1 in a 5-Race 'BEAT THE POLE' contest.

It is played in the traditional Pick 5 Drop 1 Format.

Only the payout method is different in this BEAT 4TARS contesT.

Are you still allowing email picks if we can not send here by my smart phone. Once I get back I will post my team and you will have a time stamp. We are leaving early, but we may get back before green so it may be a moot point. I know you will not be there to repost it so the reason I am asking.
If not I can post a prelim team tonight and change it when I get back.

Correct though, I won't be able to transfer them to the board till when I get home in the middle of the night. So that makes it inconvenient on those wanting to see where they landed in the pot-share.

Makes sense to me.

Although I do agree somewhat that the logic of playing against yourself is somewhat odd considering the prize for winning from the "pole" is much greater than beating the pole. Although I guess it's also a way to possibly "cover" and still bring home some cash when you don't win from the top.

Keep in mind that Austin Dillon and Marcos Ambrose will start in the back since they missed qualifying.

Picks could be VERY interesting considering a guy like Michael McDowell being in the Gibbs' #18, the "ringers", etc.

His previous roster was EXACTLY the same as Wellborn's so I think it makes sense that Plan B is the team he's rolling with for today.
